On behalf of University of Oregon Interim President Robert M. Berdahl and university leadership, you are invited to the 2012 President’s Invitational & Science Odyssey on Saturday, September 15, 2012. These two events bring together legislators, mayors, county commissioners, and other elected officials with regional industry and technology leaders, alumni, faculty, and community leaders to enjoy a presentation about important university programs that support Oregon’s knowledge economy and participation in a traditional tailgater and football game. 

You are welcome to participate in any and all of the following activities. Family members and friends are welcome! Because of state gift rules, the cost of hospitality is covered in pre-game party and football game tickets.  

Science Odyssey
Free (RSVP required)
8:30 a.m. (time subject to change), Willamette Hall, Paul Olum Atrium
A celebration of UO's partnership with Oregon's high tech industry. Industry leaders will join UO researchers to highlight UO's industrial internship program and high tech extension service and provide tours of UO's science facilities, including the brand new Lewis Integrative Science Building. Integrative science is a cornerstone of the UO’s efforts to foster scientific advancement by attracting the best minds, inspiring the construction of superior facilities, and garnering other critical resources needed to explore society’s grand challenges in human health and behavior, the environment, and clean technology.  

President’s Pre Game Party
$20 per person
10:30 to 12:30 pm, Autzen Stadium (time subject to change – event will take place two hours before kick-off)
Please join the university president, elected officials, UO advocates from all over, as well as community leaders and representatives of Oregon's high tech companies to enjoy a long-time fall tradition, hear an update about the university, celebrate with the marching band, Oregon Duck and Oregon cheer leaders.  Pre-Game Party features tailgate fare – burgers, hot dogs, salads and a hosted bar. 

UO v. Tennessee Tech football game: 
$39 per person 
Kick-off is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. (time subject to change.) 

Seating varies.  Limited number of Club seats available; those who register before July 20 will have access to best priority seating options.
