Associate Professor’s Research Linking Doctor Pay and Quality of Care
Department of Planning, Public Policy and Management (PPPM) Associate Professor Jessica Greene is using a $295,461 health policy grant from The Commonwealth Fund to research whether and how the pay structure for physicians affects quality of care. “This is a major national policy agenda,” Greene says. “We’re paying more in the U.S. for health care than other developed countries but we don’t have great outcomes.” Read more…

UO Wins Civil War Blood Drive for Second Year in a Row
It’s always a bloody battle on the field, and the 115th version of the annual University of Oregon and Oregon State University football game at Autzen Stadium is no different. But the blood actually starts spilling a few weeks before the game, when the American Red Cross, the Lane Blood Center in Eugene and the UO and OSU alumni associations team up to collect as much blood as possible from Duck and Beaver fans. Linebacker Michael Clay a Star in the Community
The O Heroes program ran into a problem this year while scheduling Thanksgiving basket deliveries. The solution? Oregon linebacker Michael Clay. Clay is a native Spanish speaker.
