The UOAA Rose Bowl Tour: A resounding success! Kicking it all off with a Welcome Reception at Los Angeles’ Intercontinental Hotel to the Pep Rally at the Santa Monica Pier and on to the pre-game tailgate at Brookside Golf Course, Duck fans traveling to the Rose Bowl with the UO Alumni Association reported the tour was a smashing success! And a victory against Wisconsin capped off this amazing time!

Pep Rally Nets 400 Applications for Admissions
More than 500 prospective students from Santa Barbara to San Diego attended an information session hosted by the UO Office of Enrollment Management prior to the UO Alumni Association's pep rally at the Santa Monica Pier on New Year's Day. The event was a success with more than 400 applications generated between the game kick off and 8 am the next day. Read more…

Lineman Moves in to Save a Life
Oregon’s beefiest football player saved the Beef Bowl — and a Duck fan’s life. Mark Asper, the Ducks’ 6-foot-7, 325-pound senior offensive lineman, performed the Heimlich maneuver to save a man who was choking on the signature beef at Lawry’s The Prime Rib restaurant. Ducks Place Four Runners on All-Academic First Team
NCAA national runner-up and West Region champion Jordan Hasay led a list of 14 Oregon men's and women's cross country runners who were named to the Pac-12 all-academic teams. Hasay was one of four first-team selections for the Ducks, including a league-leading three on the women's side. Hasay, a junior from Arroyo Grande, Calif., has a 4.03 grade point average in business administration. Read more…

Jose Tafoya ’09 (Business) recently combined his passion for sports marketing with an outgoing personality to land a job with Oregon IMG, one of the largest sports marketing agencies in the world. Here’s his story:
Jose discovered his passion for sports marketing during high school when he enrolled in college prep courses. The topic instantly clicked, so for his senior project he created a guide titled “How to Launch a Career in the World of Sports” — guidelines he still follows to this day. Read more…
