Aubrey Ardema ’97 Hosts Oregon Wine Tasting In Denver

As an Oregon Duck in Denver, Aubrey has taken it upon herself to bring more of Oregon to Duck fans in Denver. “I decided to host because I thought it would be a fun event to do with my fellow Ducks. I loved my time at the University of Oregon, and by participating in the Alumni Association and making connections with local Ducks, I get to stay connected with that experience.

I love my alma mater and my fellow Ducks, and I like being a part of keeping the community connected in the Denver area.” There are over twenty-three hundred duck alums in the Denver area. As a member of the UO Alumni Association Board, Aubrey oversees many different types of events to cater to these alums. The Chapter has held football watch parties, annual summer volleyball events, they give group tickets to local sporting events like the Denver Nuggets basketball games, they have hosted a freshman send-off brunch, golf tournament, group ski day, group visits to cultural events such as to special exhibitions at our local modern art museum, networking cocktail receptions and other Pac-10 events.

This wine tasting event is unique. Guests will get together and bring three of THEIR favorite Oregon reds to share. When asked where she got the idea from Aubrey said, “I got the idea to do this type of event from very successful fundraisers I have attended for nonprofit organizations. I thought it would be a unique event that would attract a wide variety of Ducks. By having a subject matter, Oregon red wines, I think the event will spark interesting conversation and new connections among fellow Ducks.”

The Denver Chapter is very busy hosting various events for Duck alums to get together and socialize. For information about these events you can go the University of Oregon homepage and check our events listing.
