MBA Students Working with Athletic Department Need Your Help

The University of Oregon Athletic Department (UOAD) has a history of providing experiential learning opportunities for UO students. Currently, there are students dispersed throughout the athletic department working as interns, GTFs, and on special projects.

The strategic planning project focuses on the UOAD’s merchandising operations. The Warsaw team has worked with the UOAD, industry leaders, and local stakeholders, but wants to better connect with the alumni base.

Four Lundquist College of Business MBA students in the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center – Travis Hanson, Sean McDevitt, JJ Owen, and Peter Raschio – are now working with the UOAD on a two-term strategic planning project as a capstone to their two years as graduate business students. Faculty advisor Whitney Wagoner said, “These consulting projects are a critical piece of the academic experience for our MBA students and we continue to appreciate the opportunity to partner with Oregon Athletics.”

Here’s where you come in! Alumni ideas and feedback will immensely help this project. The Warsaw team has created a survey that takes about 10 minutes to complete. Oregon alumni represent an important buying group of Oregon licensed merchandise. As such, you have the opportunity to not only help this student group, but also yourselves by providing recommendations on how to better serve your merchandise needs. Upon completion of the survey, you will have the chance to win free UO athletics apparel. The team would greatly appreciate your help!
