Career Center Offers Job Search Workshops

Spring term has sprung upon us all, which means graduation is fast approaching for some students. For others, spring may be the time to put the job search process into overdrive. To better prepare individuals for the upcoming job search season, Portland’s Career Center will be providing two great opportunities for current students, alumni and friends.

The Career Center will be offering an Alumni Job Search Group. This supportive group allows recent UO graduates from 2010-2011 and graduating students looking for jobs in Portland to connect. Sessions will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. beginning April 12 and ending April 28, 2011. There is no cost to attend, but space is limited to eight, so please RSVP at careerpdx@uoregon.edu as soon as possible.

The second event is “UO Alumni Conversations: Interesting Career Paths.” This panel discussion and reception will feature UO graduates. The panelists will share their personal lessons, experiences and advice. For the list of panelists, please visit the Career Center website: http://career.uoregon.edu/alumni. The event will take place Tuesday, April 26 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. It is free to current UO students and 2010-2011 graduates. For other UO alumni and friends, the fee to attend is $15 ($20 after April 22). Please register by Friday, April 22 at career.uoregon.edu/event/alumniconversations.

All events will take place at University of Oregon in Portland’s White Stag Block: 70 NW Couch St, Portland, Oregon 97209. For questions or to register, please email us at careerpdx@uoregon.edu or call (503) 412-3701. We hope to see you there!
