McMorran House Wines Debut to Rave Reviews

Thanks to support and contributions from King Estate and Willamette Valley Vineyards, President Lariviere and his wife Jan recently presented McMorran House private label wines to UO alums and friends. Jan Lavriere expressed her gratitude to the wineries, whose owners and winemakers provided the first signature wines featuring the McMorran House label.

“The wine has been a huge success and I am very grateful to King Estate and Willamette Valley Vineyards for their expertise and guidance as we put this program together. They were so conscientious and kind about everything we asked of them. And, it is especially fun to provide this little piece of Oregon from the President to our good friends of the UO.”

UO Marketing and Brand Management worked with a local design firm to provide a photo of the most current look of the house for the labels. From the photos, they selected the best portrayals and worked with an artist to complete a line drawing from the image. An electronic concept was prepared with McMorran House text added below the picture with the President personalizing it further by adding Go Ducks in Sanskrit. This addition added character and Richard’s “signature” to the work. The participating wineries donated product, labeling expertise, discounts and support.

Currently, the McMorran House wines include Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and are served at select events at McMorran House hosted by the President or Jan Lariviere, at significant events hosted outside McMorran and when presented as gifts from President and/or Jan Lariviere.
