Jan Eliot ’77

Eugene resident and UO Honors College alum Jan Eliot ‘77 has released two new collections of Stone Soup cartoons. "We'll Be REally Careful—Book Eight of the Syndicated Cartoon Stone Soup" was released in January. "Brace Yourself—Book Nine of the Syndicated Cartoon Stone Soup" was released in June.

Stone Soup appears daily in over 250 newspapers in the US and overseas. Stone Soup chronicles the life of the extended, blended Stone family, headed by sisters Val and Joan who live just across the fence from each other. Their lives as working moms with kids from infant to teen are based on the life of the author, who finished UO with two kids in tow.

Both books are 192-page, full-color collections. Stone Soup books are available through the UO Bookstore, Amazon.com or any other bookseller. Stone Soup now runs in over 250 newspapers internationally. You can also read Stone Soup online at gocomics.com/stonesoup.
