Author: John Wilson Foster ’70 PhD
John Wilson Foster was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland, educated in Eugene, Oregon, taught in Vancouver, British Columbia and now lives in Portaferry, Co. Down. He is a freelance writer and literary critic and an honorary research fellow at Queen's University Belfast.
He has published three books on RMS Titanic and twelve other books on Irish, English and American literature, natural history, and Irish culture. He has been a folksinger and songwriter. A lifelong birder, he has studied and enjoyed the birds of the Fraser River delta near where he lived in Vancouver, and of Strangford Lough where he now lives.
