Annalise Romoser ’01 Earns World Peace Fellow Sponsorship

The Rotary Foundation recently named two Washington-area professionals to a new class of its prestigious World Peace Fellows, making the Rotary Club of Capitol Hill the only club in the world to sponsor four fellows at once.

One of those fellows, Annalise Romoser, grew up in Eugene, OR. She graduated from South Eugene High School in 1996 and the University of Oregon, in 2001 with a double major in Spanish and International Studies. She also holds an MA from the University of California, San Diego in Latin American Studies and International Migration.

The dynamic, diverse and service-oriented Rotary Club of Capitol Hill draws members who live or work in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. Since 2003, our members have represented the dynamic diversity of Capitol Hill. Ranging from those in their 20's to 60's, more than half of our members are women and the members of our club represent numerous races and nationalities -- both from the United States and abroad. Our members work in diverse fields such as education, government, development, business, law, and in the non-profit sector. The Rotary Club of Capitol Hill is one of two clubs in Washington, DC, and represents the highest ideals of Rotary International through its service-oriented programs both at home and abroad. Our current projects focus on Literacy and Education, Hunger, and Health. Contributions by club members to the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International support efforts such as the Rotary World Peace Fellowship.
