Ducks @ Oregon Welcomes New and Returning Bloggers to the 2008-2009 School Year!

Want a glimpse into the life of a current UO student? Read about the lives of 11 Ducks who are living the UO experience. From their first day to graduation day, you’ll get an up-close-and-personal look into campus life. Whether it’s Club Sports, thesis research, football games, or study abroad, Ducks@Oregon provides alumni with a great way to connect back to campus and to see how their donations impact real students.

Trafton is an avid Duck football fan majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in Chinese. This busy junior also volunteers with Mount Pisgah Arboretum and looks forward to next year when he will participate in the Environmental Leadership Program.

Leah hails from beautiful Portland, Oregon and is majoring in Digital Arts. In addition to showing her little sister the ropes on campus, she’s the co-director of the UO Hong Kong Student Association and is busy planning a full year of cultural events. Leah is also the recipient of a UO Diversity Building Scholarship.

Korrin is a senior from Arcata, California majoring in Planning, Public Policy, and Management and minoring in Non-Profit Administration. Korrin has taken advantage of many extracurricular opportunities during her time as a Duck. She spent the past summer working at a children’s camp in upstate NY and studied abroad in Greece during her sophomore year.

Peter comes to UO from sunny Phoenix, Arizona and is a prior recipient of the UOAA Arizona Chapter Scholarship. In between studying English Literature, Liberal Arts, and Political Science through the Robert D. Clark Honors College, Peter is an active member of the UO Club Sports Snowboard Team.

Keri is another home-grown Oregonian who comes to us from Salem, Oregon. In choosing UO, Keri followed in the steps of her big sister (a proud Oregon alum). Keri attends the UO because she loves Duck football and the Lundquist College of Business. She’s an active member of Alpha Kappa Psi, a Lundquist College of Business Peer Advisor, and a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship.

Head on over to Ducks@Oregon and say “hello” to all of our student bloggers today!
