Portland Career Workshops and Events for UO Alumni

greatsmileguy

Welcome to a new section of UOAA E-News, Career Center News & Events. The UO Career Center Portland launched the Alumni Career Services program in November 2008 to serve the needs of alumni in the Portland area. Graduates of the UO have access to a variety of options, like one-on-one career counseling meetings, job search groups and workshops about how to interview and network. These services are free to recent graduates up to six months or at an affordable rate for other UO alumni.

“I just wanted to express my enormous gratitude for all of your thoughtful counsel the past few months. During this time, I have found an internship, community service and two exciting part-time jobs. You definitely impacted and helped strengthen my approach to resume/cover-letter writing, interviewing and career-path finding.” (2008 Graduate)

  • Get Connected: Bringing UO Alumni and Employers Together, Thursday, Sept. 10, 5:30-7:30 p.m., $15 or $25 after September 3. The program will feature a panel discussion about what employers seek from job candidates in today's economy and allow time for employers and UO alumni to connect.
  • Fall Alumni Job Search Group, October 6-22, noon to 1 p.m. Free six sessions over three weeks to connect with other 2009 UO graduates looking for work in Portland through supportive small group interaction and shared content.

Register for alumni events and workshops here. Please contact us at 503-412-3701 or careerpdx@uoregon.edu for more information or visit us online at uocareer.uoregon.edu/alumni to learn more.
