Eugene Sandoval graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in architecture in 1989. He joined the architecture firm Zimmer Gunsul Frasca after graduation and during his tenure at ZGF, Eugene has been responsible for the design and design team leadership on architectural, urban design and interiors projects. These projects range from academic buildings and corporate headquarters, to regional transportation systems. As one of ZGF’s newer design partners, his philosophy is based upon fresh, holistic and socially responsible ideas. He is currently leading the design of the Port of Portland Headquarters office building and parking garage. His other recent experience includes: University of Oregon Treatment Center in Eugene, Oregon; the ZGF Headquarters in Portland; the Eliot Housing Project in Portland; the Portland Transit Mall Revitalization and stations in the Sound Transit Light Rail system in Seattle. Eugene was also honored as one of Portland’s top “40 Under 40” business leaders by Oregon Business Magazine.
