Summer Events Featured in Clark Honors College 50th Anniversary Celebration
Classical music lovers, historians, and Shakespeare enthusiasts will enjoy the summer arts events hosted by the Robert D. Clark Honors College as part of their fiftieth anniversary.
In collaboration with the Oregon Bach Festival, CHC alumni, friends and supporters are invited to four Inside Line presentations prior to major works performed during the 2010 Oregon Bach Festival. Special discount tickets are also offered for the Portland opening concert on Sunday, June 27, and the Eugene recital given by Thomas Quasthoff and Jeffrey Kahane on Thursday, July 1. Shakespeare fans are invited to three “Summer Shakespeare” sessions, each lasting three days and including tickets to evening performances at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon. Each session is led by a UO faculty member, and includes afternoon workshops, a backstage tour and discussion with an Oregon Shakespeare Festival cast member. Plans are underway for Homecoming 2010 events (November 1-7, 2010) and a wonderful 50th anniversary celebration gala at the Nines hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon on Saturday, February 19, 2011. Mark your calendars now!
