Elan Fayard ’02 Shares Her Love of Wine

For Elan Fayard ’02, her love of wine became apparent after attending the University of Oregon and living in the Willamette Valley for 4 years. After graduating, the next logical step was to go to France and cultivate her talents in winemaking.

Throughout her time in France and then back in the U.S. she has held public relations, sales and marketing positions with wineries including Napa´s Signorello Vineyards and Robert Sinskey Winery, Russian River Lynmar Estate as well as Diablo Grande Wine Gallery in San Francisco.

Now living in Napa Valley with her husband Julien Fayard, together they produce and cultivate wines under their own label called Azur. “We wanted to create a wine that could be enjoyed for its refinement, balance and refreshing qualities, especially during spring and summer. We have found much inspiration in the “methode provençale”.”
