Unpaid Internship Opportunities

For those members who want to step up and take a leadership role in the SAA, we are always looking for campus leaders to serve on one of our unpaid internship teams!

  • Photographer Team (At least two interns needed for this committee)

Think you have a keen eye for taking great photos? Love being the person holding the camera at an event? This is the committee for you! Get experience in mastering your photography skills and adding it to your ongoing portfolio for future employers! Take pictures for events such as Beat-T handouts, Alumni networking events, community service events, and much more!

  • Videographer Team (At least two interns needed for this committee)

The art of storytelling through video is a very powerful tool especially if you are communicating with a large audience. If you’re great with a camera and love taking videos and editing them to make a small clip, look no further. The SAA does a number of events and what better way to market or capture the excitement and festivities of the day/night than with video clips to share! Gain experience and further build your portfolio for future employers!

  • Social Media Team (Two to three interns needed for this committee)

If you are constantly attached to your smartphone tweeting, posting to Facebook, or snapping away pictures of Instagram you will be perfect for our Social Media Team! You will hone your skills in the social media frenzy that the Student Alumni Association is constantly running through. Gain experience in social media marketing campaigns, publicity projects, and outreach!

  • Web Design/Development Team (Two to three interns needed for this committee)

Trying to find ways to put your computer savy self to work? Or maybe you just love designing posters or flyers? Either way the Web Design/Development team would be perfect for you. Whether you’re an expert at web design or you're barely learning the basics, this team will help you gain valuable experience in any career field you decide to go into. Help out the SAA team in its current re-vamp of its Home website!

  • Student Alumni Association Ambassadors (As many interns as needed)

Are you looking for ways to learn more about the SAA? To spread the word about how the SAA can benefit our members and campus? We are looking for students who will be our SAA Ambassadors to help increase membership and find ways that we can increase awareness about our organization on campus. Have sales experience? Love speaking to groups of students and want to hone in on your skills?

  • Community Service/Action Team (As many interns as needed)

The Philanthropy and Advocacy volunteer committee consists of students who are passionate about the community and giving back. Volunteers in this committee will help students on campus be aware of how important it is to give back to the University when they graduate as well as educate them on the University's funding to keep our school running.

  • Alumni Relations Team (At least five interns needed for this committee)

As part of the Alumni Relations Team you will be asked to interact with the guest Alumni we have for our events. This includes events such as the Etiquette dinner as well as the Alumni job panels in collaboration with the Career Center. We are also working on an Alumni Tour program and are looking for individuals to help with the research as well as eventually giving the tours to Alumni that come back to the university. If you are interested in the history of the university, and meeting the amazing Alumni that attended the University before you, this would be a great opportunity for you!

Volunteer Opportunities
There are tons of ways for SAA members to get involved all around campus. Whether you love football games, are looking for leadership opportunities, or want to give back to UO we recommend joining our Event Assistants volunteer team.  Many of the people on our unpaid internship committees began volunteering for the SAA on this team!

  • Event Assistants (As many volunteers as possible)

Are you interested in helping out during the craziness of the football season? Or even volunteering while having the chance to connect with alumni at our events? If so then the Events Assistants committee is a perfect fit for you. This committee consists of a wide spread of volunteering opportunities including but not limited to Beat Tee Folding and Handouts, Mo Center Set Ups, Civil War Blood Drive, Duck Panels, and Alumni Reunions. This committee is a great way to meet new members from around campus and also gives you the chance to connect with local alumni at specific events.
