Meet Ducks, network and help support Portland’s Northwest Housing Alternatives
Saturday, May 12th, 2012
8:00am – 11:00am or 10:30am – 1:30pm
On Saturday May 12th from 8:30am-3:30pm, Northwest Housing Alternatives will host the 20th Annual Annie Ross House Plant Sale in downtown Milwaukie. The Plant Sale is the shelter’s signature event and raises over $30,000 to fight homelessness in our community.
The plant sale will be held right across the street from Milwaukie’s City Hall, located at 10722 SE Main St., Milwaukie.
Northwest Housing Alternatives, in partnership with the University of Oregon Alumni Association, is requesting Duck volunteers to help make this event a success. We need volunteers to help set-up, cashier, stock plants, wave signs and assist customers at the event. Volunteers of all ages are needed for both the 8:00 -11:00 am and 10:30 am -1:30 pm shifts.
Please Join the UO Alumni Association Portland Chapter by registering today- bring friends and family and wear your Duck Gear!
Northwest Housing Alternatives operates the Annie Ross House, the only emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness in Clackamas County. Located in Milwaukie, the Annie Ross House provides emergency shelter for five families a night, six units of on-campus transitional housing, eviction prevention to end homelessness before it begins, and case management services to help families transition from homelessness and acquire permanent affordable housing.
