UO Alumni Association Privacy Policy

The mission of the University of Oregon Alumni Association (UOAA) is to foster meaningful, lifelong relationships between alumni and the university, and build alumni support to enhance the university’s standing as a premier institution of higher education.

With this mission in mind, the UOAA is sensitive to your concerns about privacy, and places your concerns as a priority. We are committed to preserving the privacy of any personal information that you choose to give us through the UOAA website and paper correspondence. Such information may be requested when you purchase membership, tickets to an event, or register for any number of other services that the UOAA may provide.

The UOAA will:
(1) Provide to anyone, upon request, notice of their ability to opt out of information exchanges;
(2) Honor customer opt out requests not to have their contact information transferred to others for marketing purposes;
(3) Accept and maintain requests to stop receiving communication (print and electronic) or other solicitations from your UOAA.

In order to provide UOAA members with the best selection of valuable services and benefit, the UOAA maintains business relationships with a small number of carefully selected and screened third-party organizations. From time to time, the UOAA may share personally identifiable information (such as name and address) to our business partners in order to offer University of Oregon alumni desirable products and services.
